Sorry for the loooong pause (a month, smh.) Last month I was really busy with my jobs — I have a full-time job and a freelance job, I almost got no time to write a new post or finish any of my drafts because I had to get so many things done real quick due to the day-offs that I took. Yep, I took a 5-days holiday by the end of March and went to Singapore to attend LANY’s concert, woohoo! I managed to spare some time to buy skincare and makeup items during my holiday in Singapore and I’ve included them in this post, if you’re curious about the things I’ve bought then just keep scrolling! 🙂
Sephora ION Orchard
- NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation in Barcelona
- Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder
- Zoeva Eyeshadow Palette in Cocoa Blend and Caramel Melange
- Sephora Color Lip Last in Chocolate Cherry
- Pixi Glow Mist
- Pixi Rose Flash Balm
- Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray (travel size)
- Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara (travel size)
… I don’t even know what to tell you. I initially wanted to buy a foundation and a setting powder, but clearly I went out of control, ended up with the addition of two eyeshadow palettes and many other things hahaha. I was using the fact that more than half the brands aren’t available in Sephora Indonesia yet as an excuse to impulsively buy things that I was just curious about, but well, I’m not disappointed with what I’ve bought — especially the Glow Mist and Rose Flash Balm. They’re so good!
- Skinfood Freshmade Watermelon Soothing Mask
I always, always, always love drugstores. There are endless possibilities whenever I enter a drugstore. Will I ever find what I’m looking for? Will I walk out from there empty-handedly or will I spend a hundred dollars on an enormous amount of stuffs? This product sounds really promising, will it work for me? Nobody knows. Drugstores are full of surprises and this time I was surprised by the wide range of skincare brands that Singapore drugstores are carrying, from Australian to Korean to French to American brands, they have it all. Why don’t Indonesian drugstores sell these brands too??? I was shook and a bit overwhelmed, so I only ended up with this face mask (lol.) The packaging is semi transparent and it kinda reveals the color of the mask inside (PINK!!!) I thought this one might be the dupe for Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask even though they’re not exactly the same, this one is a wash-off mask but since they’re both made of watermelons I hope it will give similar result.
Shilla Duty Free Changi Airport
- The Face Shop 99% Jeju Aloe Vera Soothing Gel
- Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask
Who doesn’t love duty-free shops? Haha. These aloe vera gel and clay mask are actually easy to be found in Indonesia’s online stores but while I was going overseas I might as well took the advantages of duty-free shops at the airport, things are way much cheaper there.
- No Filter Concealer in Light
- No Filter Concealer in Medium
- Supershock Highlighter in Flexitarian
- Pressed Powder Bronzer in Private Party
It was the first time I ever bought Colourpop’s concealer, my skin is medium but I wasn’t sure of the shade options and the formula, so I went for light and medium in case these concealers oxidize (but they don’t, so I think I’m gonna pass the lighter shade to my little sis because she has fairer skin.) I really like how this concealer covers my dark circles, it blends really smoothly and it’s very affordable price-wise. I also got myself a pressed powder bronzer in Private Party and a Supershock highlighter in Flexitarian because I love Colourpop’s Supershock highlighters, they’re so intense and blinding! The highlighter broke when the package was on its way but I didn’t mind because it could easily be re-pressed using clean fingers.
- Limited Edition Pretty & Purrfect Eye Set
- Shape Tape Contour Concealer in Light Medium
- Limited Edition Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Fearless
I actually bought these items separately, the eye set was purchased in February and I already wrote a review about the eye set here. I really like the mascara, and the liquid liner is really great to make a sharp and even pair of winged lines, even though it’s not the blackest liquid liner. Later in March I bought the concealer and blush, I haven’t tried the concealer to cover my dark circles so I can’t tell whether it’s worth the hefty price or not, but the blush is reaaallllyy nice! It looks very natural and stays for more than 8 hours without setting spray and I found myself reaching it everyday for the past week.
And that’s it! I hope you enjoy this post, and if you do, please like this post so I know! 🙂
