If you know me in real life, or if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know damn well that I love Rollover Reaction a bit too much. I may sound biased as f, but if I could only pick one local brand to stick with throughout my entire life, it would be Rollover Reaction. Their products are basic but revolutionary at the same time, since their mission is to help everyone to achieve their best look with no fuss without disregarding comfort and affordable price tag. Have I told you that Rollover Reaction’s lip cream triples as a blush and an eyeshadow? It’s highly versatile and I think everyone should have at least one in their makeup pouch. If you’ve never had any of Rollover Reaction’s product, now is the right time to start hoarding, because they’ve been rapidly expanding their lines recently. In a span of only few months they’ve launched browcaras, liquid eye tints, luminizing sticks, and lastly, the fresh-from-the-oven lip and cheek crayons that I’m going to talk about in this post.
What is it?
Their website says that CHUNKY! is a do-it-all colorant that fuses nourishing ingredients with artistry functions. Housed in a sleek crayon tube, the texture runs smoothly over the lips, cheeks, and eyes with no tugging and pulling. CHUNKY! comes in five shades and each shade was named after artists, another clever move from Rollover Reaction that I appreciate.
Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Hydrogenated Microcrystalline Wax, Dipentaerythrityl hexahydroxystearate/hexastearate/hexarosinate, Carnauba (Copernicia Cerifera) Wax, Ozokerite, Candelilla (Euphorbia cerifera) Wax, Castor (Ricinus Communis)Oil, Titanium Dioxide,Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Polyethylene, Caprylyl Methicone, Diisostearyl Malate, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Flavor, BHT
May contain: CI 77491, CI 15850, CI 15880, CI 77499, CI 45410:2
Enriched with: Vitamin E, Castor Oil, Shea Butter

Texture and First Impression:
This lip crayon collection comes in a typical lip crayon tube, with a matte rubbery finish that got dirty within minutes I pulled it out from the box. I picked two out of five shades, Carlo and Kahlo. Carlo is a nude coral and Kahlo is a warm brownish red, both of them are my “comfort zone” when it comes to lipstick shades. The entire CHUNKY! line has a satin finish, neither matte nor shiny. The formula feels moisturizing but not greasy, it’s like putting on a nice thin layer of lip balm, it glides seamlessly and easily on my dry lips. Color payoff is rather sheer on the first swipe, but still buildable by applying extra layers. About the staying power, I think it’s just commonly known that Rollover Reaction doesn’t have the greatest staying power. Just like the rest of their lip products, CHUNKY! isn’t transfer-proof. It transfers to cups and spoons and straws, hence it only stays for about 3 hours, but I can go on without touching up because it leaves a nice stain on my lips. Not the patchy kind of stain, but more of a natural and fresh-looking stain.
For application on the cheeks, I prefer swiping it several times on my finger then tapping it continuously until it becomes seamless, rather than dotting it directly on my cheeks. To avoid patchiness, you can apply it on top of foundation before setting powder. The result, just like how it looks on the lips, is very subtle but you can definitely build the pigmentation by adding another layer or simply top it with a powder blush for an extra flush.
You can already tell that I love this lip crayon, huh? Even though I like their lip cream better, but this lip crayon is definitely not bad at all. The texture is very decent and it doesn’t leave my lips chapped at the end of the day like any other lipstick does. I’ve tried some similar lip crayons from other brands such as Revlon and NYX but they all looked flaky on me. Probably I wasn’t taking a good care of my lips at that time, or maybe it’s just me being super biased here (haha.) It’s hard to not look like I’m hard-selling you, in fact I’m not even sponsored in any way but I’ve lured many many friends of mine to buy things from Rollover Reaction since a very long time ago and I’m totally going to persuade them again with this one. At only IDR 125.000 each, it’s worth it as you can also use this product as a blush and even eyeshadow. Just like the previous lip creams, the entire shade range of this line is very wearable. If you ask me which shade you should get, I’d recommend Kahlo because it’s a universal warm red that will flatter most skin tones and I personally love it too. The only thing that I dislike is the rubbery texture of the packaging, it attracts dust and makeup residue from my fingers.
As my final verdict, I’m totally going to purchase (repurchase?) another shade because I can’t stop with just one or two of Rollover Reaction’s product.
